Former Deputy Speaker, Oluomo elected Ogun Speaker unopposed

Former Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Kunle Taiwo Oluomo, emerged Speaker of the Ogun State 9th Legislative Assembly.

Oluomo, a member of the All Progressives Congress and a three-term lawmaker who represents Ifo State Constituency 1, was nominated by Hon. Babatunde Sobukunola from Ikenne State Constituency and his nomination was unopposed by his 25 other colleagues.

He was the sole nominee for the seat and was adopted by all the members of the assembly.

The assembly also elected Hon. Dare Kadiri, a member of APC from  Ijebu North II (Ifelodun) constituency as deputy speaker of the assembly.

He was also the sole contestant for the seat and was adopted by other members.
